Khartoum - MENA
At least 38 persons were killed and others were wounded in an attack during Fajr (dawn) prayers Friday on one of the mosques in South Kordofan state.
Some rebels affiliated to the Sudan People's Liberation Movement attacked the mosque, said Sudanese security sources in press statements on Friday.
The armed attack incited anger in the state, the sources noted, adding that security apparatuses rushed to the scene of the incident. An investigation has been launched, the sources said.
