Dubai - WAM
The Commercial Compliance and Consumer Protection, CCCP, sector at Dubai Economy observed today as 'Compliance Day', as part of spreading awareness of commercial regulations and better compliance among businesses in the emirate.
Compliance Day is celebrated in September every year with CCCP officials visiting commercial establishments to educate businesspeople and their employees on the importance of complying with regulations, without imposing any penalties for violations spotted on the day.
The day also seeks to strengthen local market and encourage service excellence. The educational initiative is designed to drive home the concept of a competitive business environment and global best practices in conducting trade.
Mohammed Rashed Ali Lootah, CEO of CCCP, said, "The CCCP sector is keen to inculcate awareness of business laws and regulations among existing businesses and entrepreneurs across Dubai. Compliance Day serves to enhance trust and build competitive relations in the local market, eventually promoting business development and the reputation of Dubai as the place to shop, for residents and visitors alike."
