Egyptian tobacco manufacturer Eastern Company announced Thursday that it has increased the price of the Cleopatra box (red and blue) by 75 piasters for each box to reach EGP 12.75 instead of EGP 12.

The new rise in price has been applied since Wednesday according to the Value Added Tax law, said a statement issued by the firm on Thursday of which MENA got a copy.

The company has increased the price of Cleopatra queen cigarettes in January from EGP 10.50 to EGP 12 by 14.5 percent, while the price of the Cleopatra super box rose from EGP 12.50 to EGP 12.75.
