Egyptian exports to Canada recorded an increase of 35 percent to hit dlrs 780 million in 2016 compared with dlrs 580 million in the previous year, according to a recent report received by Minister of Trade and Industry Tareq Qabil.
The report also recorded a setback in the Egyptian exports to Canada by 25 percent to hit dlrs 250.5 million in 2016, compared with dlrs 334.7 million in the year before, thus bringing the trade balance in favor of Egypt by dlrs 529.5 million.
Minister Plenipotentiary and Head of the Trade Representative Authority Ahmed Antar asserted that the past year witnessed a flourish in the Egyptian trade movement to Canada, especially the exports of carpets, ready-to-wear clothes, medical herbs, citrus, onion and other food products.
