Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr conferred with Singaporean Ambassador to Egypt Premjith Sadasivan on enhancing cooperation particularly in the fields of transport, harbors, exchanging expertise and training cadres in the various sectors.
The minister also discussed making use of Singaporean technology in the field of maritime transport.
Nasr praised the distinguished relations between the two countries, referring to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's visit to Singapore in August 2015, the first by an Egyptian ambassador and was followed by a visit in October 2016 by Singapore's President Tony Tan.
The Singaporean diplomat said his country is looking forward to working in the Suez Canal axis project and carrying out several development projects there, pointing out to his country's experience in establishing and managing harbors and water desalination using the highest technology.
The two sides discussed Singaporean investments in Egypt with a special focus on services, agriculture and logistics.
The Singaporean ambassador invited Nasr to visit his country and expound her experiment in attracting and promoting investments.
Nasr said the government welcomes Singaporean investors, asserting the open policy adopted by the government to encourage investment and efforts exerted to provide an attractive atmosphere in this regard.
