Pakistan can offer at least 200,000 tons of sugar to Iran in lieu of import of fertilizer, Kayani said in a statement yesterday. He said that immediate procurement of sugar by the Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) from the local industry would enable the government to secure the required quantity for open market intervention and to meet the Utility Stores needs until new crushing season.
