Kumho Mitsui Chemicals Inc. said Tuesday that it will spend 35 billion won (US$33 million) to expand its chemical-production facility in a southern part of the country to meet growing demand. The company said it will work on the expansion of its factory in Yeosu, 455 kilometers south of Seoul, to raise the factory\'s production of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) to 200,000 tons a year from 150,000 tons by the end of 2012.
