Jeddah - Arab Today
McDonald’s KSA has announced the winners of the Happy Meal Box Artist campaign that took place in the western and southern regions of the Kingdom last November. The campaign aimed to support young artistic talents in Saudi Arabia by offering them the white Happy Meal boxes as a tool to express their creativity.
Children were asked to color on the boxes their vision of the future of Saudi Arabia. Thousands of artworks were submitted and filtered. Three winners were chosen by the judging panel and the public: Arwa Fadaag, Omnia Radwan and Joe Al-Feghaly.
To celebrate the winners, a special event was held in Jeddah, attended by the winners’ families, a representative from the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) and the McDonald’s team. Winners were presented with a premium art set that would help them in their artistic development. The bigger prize, however, was the exposure they would get when the winning artworks are printed on the Happy Meal Boxes and distributed across all McDonald’s restaurants in the western and southern regions through March 24.
“This campaign is part of our social corporate responsibility. Its main objective was to develop and encourage young artists in the community and I am so proud of all the artworks that were submitted,” said Mohammed Alireza, deputy general manager at Reza Food Services Co. Ltd. (McDonald’s western and southern regions).
The campaign drew smiles on many children’s faces and allowed them to express their creativity and artistic skills. It also helped parents to discover their children’s talents.
