Tokyo Stock Exchange

Share prices on the Tokyo Stock Exchange dropped on Monday as worries over US President Donald Trump's trade policy loomed.
The benchmark Nikkei Average ended the day at 18,891, down 246 points from Friday's close, Japan's broadcaster (NHK World) reported.
Market sources say that investors interpreted Trump's inauguration address on Friday to mean he will prioritize protectionist trade policies rather than expanding fiscal expenditures.
They say that wary of risks, investors are keeping an eye on earnings reports by Japanese firms, whose disclosures will pick up full steam this week.
