US stocks closed mostly lower on Friday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, -0.05% slid 8.49 points, or 0.05%, to finish at 18,161.19. 

    The S&P 500 index SPX, -0.31% fell 6.63 points, or 0.3%, to close at 2,126.41. The Nasdaq Composite Index COMP, -0.50% lost 25.87 points, or 0.5%, to 5,190.10.
