US stocks edged higher Tuesday, led by a rise in shares of manufacturers. The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished up 39.03 points, or 0.19% at 20,689.24. 
The broad-based S&P 500 rose 1.32 points, or 0.06% to 2,360.16. The tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index added 3.93 points, or 0.07% at 5,898.61.
