Danube Building Materials yesterday opened a new showroom in Sharjah\'s sanitaryare wholesale market. The Dh10 million facility is the latest addition to the company\'s growing number of retail outlets in the UAE and was inaugurated by Abdullah Al Qayedi, Director of Sharjah Municipality, and Khalid Saif Al Muaini Director of the emirate\'s Economic Department. Danube\'s managing director Anis Sajan and director Adel Sajan were also present at the inauguration, as well as several other officials. The facility is Danube\'s 28th in the Middle East and reflects the company\'s strategy of strengthening its market presence in the region, its management said. The new retail facility is spread over 5,000 square feet and contains state-of-the-art products. It is being offered as a \"Business to Business\" (B2B) retail and wholesale unit, specialising in sanitaryware and ceramic tiles. Sharjah civic body director Al Qayedi said: \"Danube is one of the most prestigious brands in the building industry and we are pleased that they have decided to open a new showroom in Sharjah. \"We are confident the new showroom will enable Danube to reach out to a much wider cross-section of its target customers, while reaffirming the growing reputation of Sharjah as an ideal destination for world-class brands.\" Anis Sajan said: \"We are looking towards attracting more business as we get closer to our customers with the opening of this new facility.\" From / Gulf News
