One Libyan soldier was killed and three others injured in clashes in Benghazi, the country's second-largest city, with militant affiliated to the Shura Council of Benghazi Revolutionaries.
The soldiers sustained slight to moderate injuries, spokesman for the Libyan Special Forces Col. Mayloud al Zawi told MENA on Thursday.
Military troops have controlled several areas in the city today, he noted.
Benghazi has been witnessing armed clashes between the Libyan army and forces loyal to Shura Council of Benghazi Revolutionaries, leaving scores of people dead and injured.
Libya is embroiled in a civil conflict. There are two rival governments now in Libya.
The internationally recognized winner of June 2014 elections is based in Tobruk and another Misrata-based faction has controlled the capital Tripoli.
