A UN cargo plane came under fire of Sudan People’s Liberation Army on Friday while flying over Um Serdeba in South Kurdufan.
According to sources in the UN mission, the plane received a barrage of gunfire leading to severe damages. It made a difficult landing later in Kaduqli airport, in Kurdufan.
The plane was carrying peacekeepers deployed in the disputed area of Abyei, the sources said.
