Two people were killed and 13 injured in mortar shell attacks in Damascus early Wednesday, reported Russia Today channel.

Syrian military sources said opposition forces fired mortar shells at residential areas in Damascus.

Syrian activists said clashes resumed between the Syrian regime army and armed rebels in Eastern Ghouta, a rebel-held suburb to the east of Damascus. Three armed men were killed.
