At least 16 people died in the rebel-held Idlib province where airstrikes hit a prison, the Syrian Observatory for Human rights (SOHR) said on Saturday.

The airstrikes killed both prisoners and staff.

Being one rebels' key strongholds, Idlib has always been subjected to raids by Syrian air forces and allied Russian forces.

Meanwhile, Syrian military sources said that army took control of a village in Hama northern countryside.
