The Damascus Military Council said the military opposition forces downed a Syrian army jet fighter in Qalamoun Mountains in Rif Dimashq, Sky News channel reported Tuesday.

The broadcaster added that confrontations renewed between Lebanon's Hezbollah and the Army of Conquest - which consists mainly of Syrian Islamist rebel factions - in al-Kassarat area, east of Arsal, and the Zamarani crossing in Qalamoun.

The Syrian human rights observatory said at least 10 people were killed and 20 others injured as choppers threw an explosives-loaded barrel on a mosque in Aleppo.
