Tehran - FNA
The Syrian Army targeted the strongholds of Takfiri militants on the outskirts of Homs and Hama provinces, leaving a large number of them dead and inured.
The army soldiers carried out wide-scale operations in al-Rastan, Wadi al-Sukour, Hasyaa, Jerjes, Baraq al-Nashmeh, Kafr Laha, and Hawsh al-Taleb districts in Homs, killing and injuring scores of the foreign-backed rebels.
Meantime, the insurgents sustained heavy toll in Hama province, as the Syrian Army made gains against the armed groups in the areas of al-Uqairibat, Jana al-Ilbawi, Wadi al-Izam, al-Masoud, and al-Latamneh.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs and terrorists against both the army and civilians.
The unrest, which took in terrorist groups from across Europe, the Middle-East and North Africa, has transpired as one of the bloodiest conflicts in recent history.
As the foreign-backed insurgency in Syria continues without an end in sight, the US government has boosted its political and military support to Takfiri extremists.
