The Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education in Dundee celebrated the graduation of the 24th batch of graduates who completed the annual Academic Training Programme in Multiculturalism and Leadership, ATP, in Dundee, Scotland, on Monday, 7th August.
61 female students from a number of UAE and international universities, including the Abu Dhabi Police College, and the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University, graduated from the course which promotes conversation between people and teaches problem-solving through dialogue and understanding.
The graduation was held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, and attended by Dundee's Lord Provost, Ian Borthwick, Mirza Al Sayegh, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the College, and Sulaiman Hamid Al Mazroui, UAE Ambassador to the UK, amongst others.
In his speech on the occasion, Mirza Al Sayegh said that the unique, multicultural course, which teaches about diversity and leadership, is successful thanks to the cooperation between participating universities and colleges from the UAE, Egypt and Malaysia.
"Cooperation among universities based on knowledge, understanding and clear thinking is particularly important," Al Sayegh said.
