EDIC subsidiary, Global Aerospace Logistics, GAL has announced the creation of a new training programme in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute, ADVETI.
The training programme is designed to offer UAE citizens the opportunity to receive GAL sponsored training at ADVETI, one of the leading institutes of technical and vocational education and training in the UAE. The programmes offered have been specifically designed in consultation with Abu Dhabi industries and businesses.
On completion of the programme, ADVETI graduates are employable and ready to meet the requirements of the nation. ADVETI's mission is to empower Emiratis with the skills needed to contribute to the nation's future development through workplace focused, lifelong technical and vocational education and training.
"GAL provides full service aircraft maintenance and logistics support solutions," said Abdulla Murad Al Balooshi, GAL's CEO. "Logistics and Supply Chain Management is fast becoming a critical part of our service offering and GAL's sponsorship of this programme highlights our commitment to Emiratisation and strengthening the UAE's defence industry."
Dr. Abdul Rahman Jassim Hammadi, ADVETI Managing Director, said, "The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding will serve the UAE national workforce by deploying a great number of Emirati students to join this important industry field and fulfills the main purpose of ADVETI, which is to graduate students who are in demand and to provide them with education and training skills to meet the needs of industry, business and government."
