The Emirates Scientists’ Council has reviewed its future work programme with the aim of achieving its goals and objectives in launching programmes for the development of a generation of researchers, scientists and academics.
During its first meeting, chaired by Sara Al Amiri, President of Emirates Scientists’ Council, the attendees discussed ways to identify the criteria that will be followed in launching the programmes and projects to encourage studies and innovations in science and technology.
The meeting touched on mechanisms to boost cooperation and transfer knowledge and experiences between the public and private sectors, as well as the council's role in providing scientific advice to decision-makers in the government on scientific and technical trends.
Sara Al Amiri said that the establishment of Emirates Scientists’ Council came at an important stage of the UAE's development process, coinciding with the establishment of post-oil standards, an initiative which reflects the future vision of the UAE's wise leadership in building a better tomorrow for the people of the UAE.
