Opposition candidate Salvador Nasralla is leading the presidential race in Honduras with 45.17 percent of the vote, according to initial partial results released early Monday.
The Supreme Electoral Tribunal said the leftist politician was ahead of President Juan Orlando Hernandez, who got 40.21 percent of the vote with 57 percent of the ballots counted. Earlier, both candidates had claimed victory before any official results had been announced.
