On behalf of HM the King, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Isa bin Salman Educational Charity, Waqf, today attended the Golden Jubilee celebrations in Brunei Darussalam to mark the 50th anniversary of The Sultan of Brunei, His Majesty Haji Hassanal Bolkiah’s accession to the throne.
His Highness highlighted the strong bonds between the two countries which has led to the development of economic, political and cultural ties since diplomatic relations between Brunei Darussalam and Bahrain were established.
His Highness affirmed Bahrain’s commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, to building on the strong foundations of common values and economic and cultural goals shared with His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei and Brunei Darussalam.
His Highness noted that Bahrain’s participation in the Jubilee Celebrations represents the latest in a long-standing exchange of official visits intended to further strengthen bilateral relations.
His Highness extended the Kingdom of Bahrain’s congratulations, on behalf of His Majesty the King, to His Majesty the Sultan on the 50th anniversary of his accession to the throne.
His Highness asked that Allah protect His Majesty the Sultan and the people of Brunei Darussalam.
Other Royal and official representatives also attended Brunei’s Golden Jubilee celebrations, including the GCC, UK and Asia.
