Damascus - Noura Khowam

A demonstration has been orchestrated in Damascus’ eastern Ghouta with hundreds of activists to express their protest against the presence of Tahrir Al-Sham Movement, as the militants of the extremist movement opened the fire on the demonstrators on Friday to disperse them. The demonstrations turned to attack the militants who escaped with no information about the number of deaths or injured.

The truce of the Eastern Ghouta continues for the sixth consecutive days since it was put in effect on the 22nd of July 2017. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented more violations of which the outskirts of the capital and the Eastern Ghouta have witnessed, where a violent explosion was heard in Jobar Neighborhood east of Damascus.

Reliable sources suggested that it was caused by a land-to-land missile fell on an area in the neighborhood, while the warplanes carried out an air strike on the area of Al-Marj which is controlled by Jaysh al-Islam in the Eastern Ghouta, while the violent clashes renewed between Al-Rahman Corps on one hand and the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them on the other, in area in Jobar Neighborhood and in the outskirts of Ein Tarma Valley in the Eastern Ghouta, amid exchange of targeting between both parties.

Also, at least 2 members of the regime forces were killed yesterday and other 9 persons were injured in the clashes on Thursday morning in Jobar Neighborhood in the eastern outskirts of the capital, which is considered the last neighborhood controlled by the factions in the eastern part of the capital, following an attack by the regime forces in an attempt to achieve advancement in the area.

These injured and killed members of the regime forces are the first members of the regime forces killed east of the capital Damascus since the start of the truce of the Eastern Ghouta and east of Damascus, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the fall of a mortar on area in Ashari Farms in the Eastern Ghouta, the source of which has not been known yet, the shell did not cause any casualties.

The Syrian Observatory published hours ago that it documented more violations in the Eastern Ghouta, where the regime forces launched a missile believed to be a land-to-land fired on area in the outskirts of Ein Tarma from the side of Jobar, while the regime forces shelled areas in the outskirts of the town of Otaya in the area of Al-Marj in the Eastern Ghouta, and no casualties were reported yet.

A person was killed by the explosion of an IED near him on the road to the village of Binin in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib.

The Syrian south truce is still taking place since the start of applying the Russian-American-Jordanian truce on the 9th of July 2017, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored targeting by the regime forces using heavy machineguns for places in Al-Hamidiyyeh area in the mid-sector countryside of Al-Quneitra, no information about casualties.
