Askar stressed that the election of Shaikh Ali is a clear indication of the Kingdom of Bahrain's distinguished status in the Arab, continental and international levels, and showcases the Kingdoms' capacity of having capable personnel occupying senior administration positions in various bodies and sports federations.
He expressed pride in Shaikh Ali for gaining the confidence of the AVO members in the election. He praised the great efforts exerted by Shaikh Ali to develop the game at local and Arab levels.
He noted that the achievement underlines the high level of Bahraini personnel in administrative work who have contributed to gaining this confidence, which reflects in supporting and strengthening Bahrain's athletic reputation at Arab and Asian and global levels.
