King Mohammed VI held a dinner in honor of French Prime Minister Édouard Philip upon his arrival to Morocco on Wednesday for a two-day working visit.
Philippe came with a large delegation of French officials, including the minister of justice, the minister of culture, the minister of national education, the minister of sports and the interior minister.
The delegation, which also comprises of high-ranking officials and heads of major French public companies, was welcomed by Head of government Saâd Eddine El Othmani.The French PM was also greeted by Minister of Economy and Finance, Mohamed Boussaid, Minister of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water, Abdelkader Amara, Minister of Youth and Sports, Rachid Talbi Alami, Minister delegate to the Interior minister, Noureddine Boutayeb, secretary of state for Higher Education and Scientific Research, Khalid Samadi, secretary of state to the minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mounia Boucetta.
During his stay in Morocco, Philippe will co-chair with the head of government the 13th Moroccan-French high level meeting, marked by the organization of an economic forum under the theme “France-Morocco: Bridges for growth and employment.”
The forum is meant to further assess and examine the different aspects of partnership between the two countries’ business community.
On Wednesday evening, King Mohammed VI arranged a dinner in the honor of the French PM.
The dinner was attended by the Speakers of the two Houses of Parliament, advisor to the King, Yassir Znagui, members of the government, the ambassador of Morocco in Paris, as well as by several economic stakeholders.
It was also attended by the members of the official delegation accompanying the French PM, the ambassador of France to Morocco and numerous other high ranking officials.
