Jordanian Agriculture Ministry Spokesman Nemr Haddadin on Wednesday said that media reports about Egyptian agricultural products on Jordanian markets are groundless and bare of truth.
At a joint press conference with Egyptian Ambassador here Tarek Adel in the Egyptian embassy headquarters, he added that all examinations by Jordanian departments concerned proved that the Egyptian products are safe for human consumption, according to a press release issued by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
He added that bilateral relations are excellent and that Egyptian products are available on the Jordanian market.
Ambassador Adel also explained that no US authorities have issued any decision banning the entry of Egyptian agricultural exports into the US market as was reported on social media.
These reports on the Egyptian products are groundless and bare of truth and are only meant to harm the Egyptian interests, he added.
