Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi on Tuesday met Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, the United Nations special envoy for Yemen.
During the meeting, Hadi stressed the Yemeni government's keenness on positively interacting with peace efforts centered around the three references of the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanisms, outputs of the national dialogue, and relevant Security Council resolutions including Resolution 2216.
"We will continue to look for the serious peace that builds a safe future for our country," Hadi said, adding that peace shouldn't carry future conflicts.
In turn, the U.N. envoy said the meeting came within efforts to implement the peace references and international society initiatives in this regard.
