The 3rd Global Education Industry Summit will take place in Luxembourg on 25th and 26th September, 2017.
The focus will be on schools at the crossroads of innovation in cities and regions. It is also an opportunity to become acquainted with the unique education system of Luxembourg and its regional approach of co-operation between industry and the various branches of the school system.
Jointly organised by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, the European Commission, and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Global Education Industry Summit is an established platform at which ministers of education, innovators and leaders of the private sector industries will discuss and engage in issues in education as well as strategies for innovation.
The summit enables the exploration of opportunities offered by innovation in teaching and learning. The idea behind the summit is to foster innovative ecosystems in education, explore the opportunities offered by innovation in teaching and learning, and discuss the framework conditions for innovation in education, which would leverage quality and equity of educational outcomes.
Sessions will witness discussions on the themes of innovative schools, schools driving progress and well-being in local communities, local economy supporting schools, and policies for better ecosystems of innovation.
