Indian police arrested a British man on charges of sexually assaulting visually impaired children at a blind school, officials said on Monday.
The accused 53-year-old Murray Denis Ward, according to the police, has sexually abused three visually impaired children at a school run by the National Association of Blind (NAB) in New Delhi's RK Puram.
The victims are said to be below the age of eight.
According to the police, Ward who was associated with NAB used to visit the school on a frequent basis and has been a donor to it for the last over eight years.
"The British national is accused of sodomizing at least three children, all aged under eight," a police official said. "He has been charged under sections of the Prevention of Child Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act."
According to police, Ward, who appeared in a court on Monday, has been sent to a two-day police custody.
Reports said police had found some objectionable videos of kids from Ward's laptop.
