Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has said visas have been issued for visits by Iranian and Saudi delegations to inspect the embassies of the two countries in Riyadh and Tehran after the pilgrimage season.
In an interview to ISNA news agency, Zarif denied Saudi Arabia’s request for Iraqi mediation. He said he had held talks with Iraqi officials after visits to Saudi Arabia and found the inaccuracy of these statements.
Zarif also said that Tehran is ready for dialogue with Saudi Arabia and is making all efforts to reach a political solution to the crisis in the region.
