Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will attend a meeting organized by the U.S. Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) in New York City next week, official IRNA news agency reported on Tuesday.
Zarif will discuss the current developments in the Middle East in the meeting scheduled for July 17.
In September 2016, the top Iranian diplomat attended a CFR meeting to discuss Iran nuclear deal, Syrian crisis, and Iran's relationship with Saudi Arabia.
Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi said earlier that Zarif will also participate in the meeting of the High-Level Political Forum 2017 in the UN headquarter during his stay in New York.
On the sidelines of the meeting he will have bilateral meetings with his counterparts from a number of countries, said Qasemi.
