His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has lauded the US vision towards the situation and challenges in the region, as well as its approach in supporting the USA’s friends and allies, and standing by them in confronting threats to their security and stability, particularly terrorism.
The Prime Minister asserted that the strategic partnership between Bahrain and the USA has witnessed remarkable progress under President Donald Trump, noting that the Trump Administration has shown understanding and interacted positive regarding the situation and challenges the region is currently going through, which, he said, is a source of satisfaction, and paves the way for more cooperation and coordination on various issues that strengthen the region’s security and stability.
HRH Premier made the statements while receiving the US Secretary of the Navy, Richard Spencer, and his accompanying delegation.
The Prime Minister reviewed with the US official the Bahrain-US relations of friendship and cooperation, and ways to bolster them in various fields.
HRH Premier highlighted the importance of the agreements signed between the two countries, or those which will take effect in the near future, in deepening cooperation between the two countries in various military and security fields, based on the solid and long-standing bilateral ties.
He praised the course of joint military cooperation, and the two countries’ keenness on developing it, especially in light of its success at all levels and in various fields.
HRH the Prime Minister lauded the level reached by the Bahrain-US cooperation and friendship relations, and the two countries’ desire to further develop them, affirming that the way is always paved for enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation, including military cooperation.
The Navy Secretary expressed his country’s pride in the interest of the government, under the leadership of HRH Premier, in bolstering bilateral cooperation in various fields, which, he said, reflects the strength of those ties.
