A senior commander belonging to ousted Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh’s Republican Guard was killed on Friday during an air raid by the Saudi-led Arab coalition.
According to a military source, Ali al-Aajam was an acting commander of the 3rd Brigade in the Guard. Eight of Aajam’s companions were also killed in the attack.
The raid took place east of the Yemeni capital Sanaa in Nahem front and targeted the military vehicle Aajam and his companions were in, the source added.
