The UAE and the Republic of Chile have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, to exempt Emirati and Chilean nationals carrying ordinary passports from obtaining pre-entry visas while travelling to both countries.
The MoU was signed by Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Jarman, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Legal Affairs, and Jean Paul Tarud-Kuborn, Ambassador of Chile to the UAE.
Al Jarman said that the signing of the MoU would further strengthen cooperation between the UAE and Chile.
During the meeting, both sides discussed several regional and international issues of common interest while exchanging their views on the current regional situation.
The Chilean Ambassador expressed his country's keenness to strengthen bilateral relations with the UAE, which the government of Chile attaches particular importance to, given the distinguished position reached by the UAE in international arenas.
