The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, today expanded its "Zayed's Legacy to Support Yemeni People" campaign to the Shabwa Governorate in Yemen. The campaign was launched earlier this month on the occasion of Eid Al Adha to support families of martyrs and those wounded around the country.
Under the remit of the campaign, families are provided with various kinds of support including Eid clothing, gifts for children, food baskets, and cash, along with vouchers to purchase necessities.
Mohammed Saif Al Muhairi, Head of the ERC team in Shabwa, said that the organisation's latest campaign is a continuance of the humanitarian and relief efforts of the UAE and its leadership.
Al Muhairi explained that the aim of the "Zayed's Legacy to Support Yemeni People" is to bring joy and happiness to the children and families of the martyrs, and the wounded, during the blessed days of Eid.
He went on to stress the concern of the UAE Government and people in the current humanitarian situation in Yemen, which reflects the strong fraternal bond the two brotherly peoples share.
