A group of Yemenis injured in the war in their country were flown to India for treatment paid for by the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, in collaboration with VPS Healthcare Group.
The ERC is coordinating with the UAE Embassy in New Delhi to ensure full support is provided to the injured.
The agency also covers the cost of medical staff who travelled with the injured to ensure their health and psychological conditions are cared for.
The move is part of the support being provided by the UAE to Yemenis to alleviate their suffering in the current time of crisis.
It follows the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and President of the ERC. WAM/ MMYS
