The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, distributed food supplies to cancer and kidney patients in Al Mukalla District as part of the UAE’s humanitarian campaign to improve the living and economic conditions of people in Yemen.
Ahmed Al Neyadi, Deputy Head of the ERC team in Hadramaut, stressed the ERC’s efforts in easing the sufferings of those in need, particularly the sick, who require these food supplies. Clarifying that this aid comes as part of a series of humanitarian campaigns by the ERC which strives to extend a helping hand to the people of Hadramaut.
He stated that offering health support to citizens through health centres and establishments, is the priority of the ERC. It considers this help as a humanitarian and ethical duty, which represents the spirit of brotherliness between the two countries, especially considering the circumstances in Yemen.
The beneficiaries expressed their happiness with this initiative and thanked the UAE and its wise leadership for their support. Highlighting the efforts made by the UAE, they praised the exceptional programmes executed by the ERC in Yemen in various fields such as development, health, education, rescue work, as well as urgent services.
