The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, team in Hadhramaut visited Al Mukalla Hospital for Motherhood and Childhood on Friday to inspect the patients' conditions and provide gifts on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
Ahmed Al Neyadi, Head of the ERC Team in Hadhramaut, emphasised the importance of the visit, that included a tour of the hospital's various departments and clinics, aimed to spread cheer, hope and optimism in the hearts of patients on Eid.
He praised the enthusiasm shown by team members during the visit, and their keenness to bring joy and happiness to patients and their families, reiterating that the UAE stands by them to alleviate their suffering.
Al Neyadi stressed how the ERC's provision of humanitarian relief and assistance is of utmost importance, especially to individuals who live in severe conditions.
Patients and hospital staff expressed their appreciation for the UAE's philanthropic efforts and support provided by the ERC. They added that the humanitarian relief and assistance given to the people of Hadhramaut is not a recent act, but dates back to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's legacy and his noble humanitarian attitudes towards Yemen and its people, carried forward by the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
