The last group of Iraqi pilgrims traveling by land entered Saudi Arabia via the Araar inlet on Friday, bringing the total number of Iraqi men and women crossing the border to perform Hajj this year to 13,699 aboard 598 buses.
Mahmoud Humaid Eaini, in charge of Iraqi pilgrims coming by land, told the Saudi Press Agency that while at the entry post, the Iraqi pilgrims were given a warm welcome.
The Araar inlet is the only entry point for Iraqi pilgrims traveling by land.
