The Foreign Minister, Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour, pointed out that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, has affirmed the keenness of Saudi Arabia to support implementation of the initiative for rehabilitation in Sudan, indicating that countries and institutions will be invited to contribute to implementation of the initiative and boosting the investment in Sudan.
In a press statement at Khartoum Airport upon return of the President of the Republic from Jordan where he participated in the 28th Arab Summit, Prof. Ghandour has described the initiative of King Salman as a generous one.
He referred to the meeting held on the sidelines of the Arab Summit between President Al-Bashir and the Saudi Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
He indicated that King Salman has instructed his Foreign Minister to adopt the measures for implementing the initiative which was sponsored by the Arab League.
He said that the talks between the President Al-Bashir and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has included the relations between Sudan and Saudi Arabia, adding that the two leaders have affirmed the full coordination between the two countries at all levels.
