Chairman of the Saudi-Iraqi Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry Firas Al-Hamdani declared that the Saudi participation in the Baghdad International Fair reflects a sincere initiative to reinforce economic cooperation between the two countries.
This came during Al-Hamdani’s reception for representatives of industrial and service companies and sectors, and a number of reporters participating in the 44th Baghdad International Fair, led by the spokesman of Saudi Export Development Authority Mazen Al-Jasser.
Al-Hamdani said that Iraq, by organizing the Baghdad International Fair, is delivering a clear message that it is ready to cooperate at the investment and economic levels with all Arab states, and especially Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi-Iraqi Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established in the context of efforts exerted by Iraq to promote economic exchanges between the two countries, he added.
For his part, Chairman of the Iraqi National Investment Commission Sami Al-Araji said that it is the perfect time for Saudi Arabia and Iraq to meet and face challenges together, expressing his pleasure over the reopening of air and land borders between the countries.
Al-Araji praised the Saudi-Iraqi Council for paving the way for the cooperation and revealed that a meeting is being held next month between the two countries.
