President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will attend on Thursday the final North Thunder drill in Saudi Arabia.
Sisi is keen to attend the final drill in view of Egypt's regional role in realizing security and stability in the Arab region, Egypt's Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said Wednesday.
Sisi is committed to enhancing cooperation with Arab states in various domains, Youssef said.
Egypt is the second state with regard to the number of its armed forces taking part in the Pan-Arab and Islamic military drills which started in February.
The drills are the largest military drills in the region with the participation of Egypt and more than 20 other Islamic and Arab countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Bahrain, Senegal, Sudan, Kuwait, Maldives, Morocco, Pakistan, Chad, Tunisia, Comoros, Djibouti, Oman, Qatar, Malaysia, Mauritania and Mauritius.
