The Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Askar Zhumagaliyev, has met with the UAE Ambassador to his country, Dr. Mohammed Ahmed bin Sultan Al Jaber, to review developing bilateral cooperation in the field of nuclear energy.
During the meeting, which was also attended by Mohammed Al Hammadi, Chief Executive Officer of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, ENEC, the parties discussed prospects of cooperation between Kazatomprom, Kazakistan's national operator for import and export of nuclear fuel components for power plants, and ENEC.
Noting the distinguished relations between the UAE and Kazakhstan in various fields, Zhumagaliyev and Al Jaber expressed their keenness to further bolster mutual cooperation.
Al Hammadi highlighted ENEC's interest to strengthen collaboration with its counterparts in Kazakhstan in the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
