Hamad Al Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to Sudan, has attended the closing ceremony of the Arab Reading Challenge, a competition launched by Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to encourage youngsters to read Arabic books.
Asia Mohamed Abdallah, Sudanese Minister for General Education, Najla Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Arab Reading Challenge, and several senior Sudanese education and cultural officials attended the event.
While addressing the audience, Al Shamsi urged the students to pay greater attention to reading, to enrich the Arab cultural and intellectual scene, which is the aim of the Arab Reading Challenge.
