Yemeni legitimate forces advanced towards the Arhab District - in the capital Sanaa - after they tightened control over almost 90 percent of the Nihm district, an Al Arabiya correspondent reported.
Sheikh Mansour al-Hanq, head of the Sanaa resistance, told Al Arabiya and Al Hadath television channels that battles in the Arhab district are "decisive and will end the coup."
Addressing Yemeni citizens who were misled and forced to fight alongside the rebels, Hanq said: “The national army and resistance will do nothing but good deeds, and they will only pursue those who staged the coup.”
The forces advanced with the support of the Saudi-led coalition’s air cover and the coalition’s and national army’s artillery shelling.
Meanwhile, Yemeni sources said Houthi militias kidnapped around 12 civilians from Arhab and blew up three houses.
They also said that the Houthis attacked several towns in Arhab, such as Al-Arshan and Al-Ghoula, and raided houses, adding that the militias’ armored vehicles deployed there as well.
