The Jordanian government has condemned the killing of 11 Libyans, 9 soldiers and two civilians, at the hands of the terrorist Daesh group.
Jordan News Agency quoted Bisher Khasawneh, Acting State Minister for Media Affairs and State Minister for Legal Affairs, as saying, "This heinous terrorist act is aimed at spreading more terror and chaos in Libya," calling for finding an end to the violence in Libyan and fighting terrorist organisations everywhere.
The Jordanian official renewed Jordan's call for a political solution to the Libyan crisis that would bring about security and stability and eradicate terrorism.
International press sources have reported that at least 11 people were beheaded on Wednesday in an attack on a checkpoint controlled by Libyan military south of Tripoli, with Daesh claiming responsibility for the attack.
