Brazil defender Dani Alves has signed for Juventus until 2018, the club said Monday.
Alves left Barcelona at the end of last season after an eight-year stint and arrives on a free transfer. He won 23 trophies while at Barcelona and became the second foreign player in Barcelona in terms of most games for the club, second only to Leo Messi.
He played as a right midfielder in Sevilla under Juande Ramos. Pep Guardiola chose Alves in 2008 to be his first signing for the club. Since then the Brazilian established himself as arguably the best right back in the world, forming a deadly partnership with Messi down Barce's right-hand flank.
