The Confederation of African Football (CAF) approved on Friday a request by Zamalek team to carry out a doping test following a game with South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns in the first leg of the CAF Champions League final.
The game will be held Saturday in South Africa.
Zamalek have a brilliant history in the continental prestige tournament with 18 partcipations and five title wins.
The team last played a Champions League final in 2002, when they won their fifth title.
Sundowns have participated in the CAF Champions League seven times, reaching the Champions League final in 2001 where they lost to Egyptian giants Ahly 4-1 on aggregate, including a 3-0 away defeat in the second leg.
